Sensei Chris Peabody
Sensei Chris Peabody began training in the martial arts at age 5 in Judo. At age 6 he quit Judo and began training in Seibukan Karate with Kyoshi Warren Berto at the first Alaska Seibukan Dojo in Ketchikan, Alaska. After graduating from high school in Ketchikan, he earned degrees from the Art Institute of Seattle and University of Idaho before returning to Ketchikan as a police officer. In 2003, Sensei Peabody took over the Ketchikan Dojo after Kyoshi Berto moved to Whidbey Island, Washington. In 2010, Sensei Peabody relocated to Whidbey Island, Washington and opened the North Whidbey Seibukan Karate Do Dojo in Oak Harbor, Washington. In addition to training in Seibukan, Sensei Peabody trains in Matayoshi Kobudo and offers Kobudo at his dojo in Oak Harbor.
