Renshi Warren Berto began his Seibukan training under Kyoshi Jeff Nagata in Portland, Oregon USA in 1977. Renshi Berto has also studied Tai Chi and Aikido in depth.
Renshi Berto is the director of Alaska Seibukan Shorin Ryu Dojos a Non-profit Association.
Sensei Berto has affiliate Dojos in Ketchikan, Alaska, Craig, Alaska, Anchorage, Alaska, Stanwood, Washington, Whidbey Island, Washington, Pringle, South Dakota, and Lake Havasu, Arizona.
Renshi Berto is Secretary Treasurer for the International Okinawa Shorin Ryu Seibukan Karate Association, as well as a member of the Senior Executive Board for IOSSKA. Renshi Berto has been active in the IOSSKA for many years. He travels to Okinawa and other locations assisting Hanshi Shimabukuro with seminars and standardizing Seibukan techniques. Renshi Berto lives in Freeland Washington on Whidbey Island with his wife of 29 years. Renshi Berto has two daughters and one Grandson.
